Overview

MODASOU (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates modasou.com, a custom-tailoring and readymade fashion platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal data when you visit our website, create an account, place an order, or contact us.

We are based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, and we handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, and basic profile information when you register or sign in with Google.
  • Contact & enquiry data — the name, email, phone number, and message you submit through our contact or enquiry forms.
  • Order & measurement data — garment selections, design and fabric preferences, body measurements, and delivery addresses.
  • Uploaded images — photos of fabric or garments you share, and, if you use virtual try-on, a photo of yourself.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment partner. We do not store your full card or UPI details on our servers.
  • Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, and how you use the site, collected automatically.

How We Use It

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process, tailor, and deliver your orders.
  • Send order updates, respond to enquiries, and provide customer support.
  • Process payments and help detect and prevent fraud.
  • Improve our products, services, and website experience.
  • Send service messages and, where you have opted in, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).
  • Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted service providers to run MODASOU. They process only the data needed for their function, each under their own privacy terms:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting and account authentication.
  • Google — “Sign in with Google”; we receive only your basic profile and email.
  • Razorpay — payment processing; card and UPI details are handled by Razorpay, not stored by us.
  • EmailJS — sending order confirmations and notification emails.
  • Hostinger — website hosting infrastructure.
  • crop2cloth — supplier for readymade products we resell.
  • FASHN.ai (if you use virtual try-on) — generates the try-on preview from your photo; try-on images are processed for that purpose and deleted per their retention policy.

  • Keep you signed in and secure your session.
  • Remember your cart, preferences, and progress through the customisation flow.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the site may not work properly if certain cookies are disabled.

Data Sharing

We share personal data only where necessary:

  • Artisans & designers — relevant order, design, and measurement details are shared with the artisan crafting your garment.
  • Service providers — the partners listed under Third-Party Services, only to the extent needed to operate our services.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of MODASOU, our customers, or others.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
